Cake Smash sessions are so much fun and a fab sensory experience for your little ones.
This is probably only be the only time you don’t mind your child getting messy and playing around with their food.
The sessions take place in my home studio in Sunbury so no need for you to do any cleaning up afterwards, although I wouldn’t wear your best clothes as you may get messy too.
Everything is provided for you including a yummy cake made by a local professional baker. Most people like to bring their own outfits but I do have a range of gorgeous outfits too if you wish to borrow one.
If there is a specific theme you would like, let me know and I will do my best to match. An additional cost may occur.
All sessions start with a few portrait shots then we bring out the cake, give them a spoon and sit back and watch. This part is led by baby, and hopefully they smash it. If not, you can help a little and if there is any left, you can take it home.
After the smash part, they can get all cleaned up and have a little splash in my roll top bath. You even take them home all nice and clean.

Hayley photographed our little girl for her first birthday cake smash and was absolutely amazing. THE SESSION
Sessions take place in my home studio in Sunbury.
We will discuss colour schemes or any particular theme you would like beforehand so I can make sure everything matches.
Your cake smash and splash shoot includes:
- Up to 1 hour shoot
- A consultation beforehand to discuss colours
- Professionally made cake to suit your theme (Please advise on any allergies when booking)
- Full set up included
- A private online gallery of 20-25 digital images all ready to download
- £50 credit towards wall art/products
All for one set price of:
£249
A £49 deposit at time of booking is required to secure your shoot with the remaining balance of £200 due on the day of your session

YOUR QUESTIONS
When shall i book?
These normally take place around your little ones birthday. I recommend booking about a month in advance to make sure I have availability and that I can get your cake ordered in time. Most people book in 1-2 weeks before their little ones birthday so they are able to have the images back in time.
What do I need to bring?
Just the birthday girl or boy and a towel for splash time. I will provide the rest. Some people prefer to bring their own outfits as they sometimes get personalised vests. I do have range of outfits as well so you are more than welcome to use mine.
Can I have any colour/theme?
Within reason, yes. When you book we will discuss what colours you would like. The set up includes the backdrop, decorations such as balloons and bunting all to match. If there was a particular theme you would like, this is not a problem but an additional charge might occur.
My baby can't have diary. Can I still have a Cake Smash session?
Yes of course you can. My professional baker is able to provide diary free cakes for your little one to enjoy. Other alternative sessions you can do to celebrate is with a fruit smash or a paint splash which these are just as fun. If you free more comfortable bringing your own cake, that is no problem.
What happens after the session?
After your session, I will carefully hand edit your images for you. These will be ready to view and download from your private online gallery within 2 weeks of your session.
